Powys Castle Blooms

Some of the 'blooms' I photographed at Powys Castle yesterday.

I don't know the names of them - English or Latin - but I think you'll agree they were very nice!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Interesting that my shots from Creaner's Field remind you of Wales. It must be something to do with the northern latitude. As to your photos, beautiful. I can tell you that the first photo is an iris and it looks very much like our wild iris. I can't tell what the tree is, but the next photo is an alium. The last one may be a bleeding heart that is not fully open but it's hard to tell. At any rate, they are beautiful, and it's not necessary to know their names to enjoy them. Nice work.

Thanks, for your comments and for naming some of the plants!
I think the Creaner's Field shots remind me of Wales because of the general greenery and the grey sky!

I noticed the unusual blooms in the last pic and have a similar one from recent visit to Hodnet Hall.
