Enjoying Nature's Shower

Two Collared Doves spotted by my four year old daughter Olivia this morning and snapped by me.
They were just sitting like this on the telephone line, lifting first one wing and then the other, enjoying the cold summer rain.
Nature's shower!

Well spotted.
And that was quite a shower here too. Still showering now.

But they don't have shower caps on! :)

And they appear to have lost the soap!

FORTUNATELY, for us, we had most of our rains this spring early and right now we go several days between rains. And we could use a soaker. I enjoyed your photos and thank you for stopping by my birds blog.

That is such a cute shot! I have seen water birds doing that after diving to dry their wings - but having a shower? Fun!

Thanks for all your kind comments on my blog! I appreciate it very much!

I will visit you again!
