The Last Days of Autumn

We're being battered by some pretty dark and stormy weather at the moment. There's a mixture of blue skies, dark skies, drizzle, heavy rain, occasional (very) glimpses of the sun - and all accompanied by a seemingly permanently howling gale (gusts up to 80mph reported). This has been going on for about a week now with no let up apparently for at least several days more - but at least it's mild with max temps around about 13c (55f).
But I for one love the stormy weather, it's traditional British autumn weather, so here are a few pictures taken over the last couple of days by myself - during breaks in the rain!

Jim, I like it too, it's the challenge, thank the lord for digital. Exposures are the very devil. You've captured things well.

Awesome! My favorites are the last two. :o)

We don't get alot of stormy weather up here. People think, living so far north, that we probably have some very brutal weather. We do have brutal cold (-40C is not unusual at all) but not so much on the storms!

Have a great day, stay warm!

I like the top one best. The clouds here look boring today.

Autumn is my favourite month, your pictures are lovely :-)

I enjoy lying in bed and listening to the wind and the rain on the windows. There is also a beautiful Oak tree at the bottom of my garden which a love to see blowing in the wind.

Oh I so miss the stormy Autumn weather...
I was looking at the previous post also, it made me homesick to the point of distraction. The little terraced houses amd the street lights at the bottom of the hill, I will forever carry a place in my heart for those memories.
Awesome pictures.

Yes, the fall season is coming to an end. Soon the sun will be climbing north again.
